Solution Architect Grade: GG11 Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia An exciting opportunity has arisen to join International systems Engineering (ISE), a BAE Systems majority owned joint venture Company as a Solution Architect. The successful individual will be working for a company at the forefront of ISE commitment as part of the economic offset companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Working across the ISE Functions and Project Teams will offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of ISE in KSA. JOB PURPOSE International Systems Engineering (ISE) provide the IT capability and service both onsite and centrally to all projects and programmes in BAE Systems Saudi Arabia and to our partner companies, BAE Systems Saudi Development and Training and SMSCMC. ISE is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Reporting to the Head of Bids Solution Architects, this position exist to develop technical solutions across the ISE Bids functions to meet Customers' requirements and maximise ISE overall Bids proposition whilst closely managing costs without compromising quality or reliability of supply and within the ISE commercial and procurement policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Bids Management:

Lead ISE's technical solution development across Proposals and Work Authorizations covering both internal and external Bids activities. Ensure business integrity of all bids, ensuring compliance with good corporate responsibility in all Business Winning operations and supporting ISE in discharging the IBP Ensure all bidding technical solutions are performed with adherence to the ISE gated process review cycle guidelines and mandates Perform initial Technical Evaluation of the Statement of Requirements and engage the required function. Review and approve bid plans and technical solutions based on client requirements, resource and technology availability and capability Review request for proposal and analyze customer requirements through engaging with sales and other functions Liaise with internal functions to identify required technology and its cost for required solutions through engaging with solution integrators. Ensure guarantee letter issuance and identify currency exchange rates through engaging with Commercial and Finance Creations and submission of proposal documents including and limited to (compliancy matrix, risk register, resource plan, delivery schedule and cost model) Handover of Bids and Proposals documents to C&P team for contract acceptance phase Write and create the technical bid documentation to support the final bids submission.

System Integration:

Ensure development of the right solution through engaging with solutions engineering Manage external vendors to deliver outsourced solutions Participate in Gated Delivery Framework to ensure alignment and identification of opportunity pipeline, as well as deliverables quality and timeframe agreements

ISE line Management:

Ensure full adherence to ISE Business Management System including legal and regulator requirement mandate through policies as described in the BMM Ensure business and functional activities are carried out in accordance with the defined Core Business processes as described in the BMM Assure that output/deliverables are accomplished in adherence to BMM requirements and in compliance with the customer contracted requirements Communicate directly with the Categrory Manager on any issue pertaining to quality performance and delivery Review and establish functional processes that are integrated into the Business Management System Obtain the required signature/approval on related policy and process that form part of the Business Management System Resolve any non-conformance issue raised within the Business Management System in a timely manner Manage, develop and resource in accordance with Capability Framework Provide sufficient resources to meet the obligations of Business Administration Group policies

People Management: In times of absence of the Head of Solutions Architecture, execute the roles and responsibilities in a deputizing role Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of professionals to ensure that commercial activities meet established targets and standards Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate / appraise and regular feedback on performance Establish and sustain ISE commercial capabilities and skills set Establish a saudisation plan to develop local talents with C&P capabilities relevant to an IT company.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & BUSINESS EXPERTISE: Bachelor's degree in commercial or business administration or a related field from a recognized university (MBA is desirable). A minimum of 8-10 years' experience within Defense, preferably in Information Technology and Information Systems, of which a significant portion has been in Commercial and Procurement management positions Technical Knowledge: Experience of compiling and negotiating major contracts Experience of establishing and managing strategic supplier relationships through the completion of major sub contracts Thorough understanding of pricing models (competitive and non-competitive pricing techniques) Thorough understanding of functional commercial and procurement capabilities Excellent understanding of export controls application, especially in US ITARs and EARs regulations Extensive knowledge of sub-contract management Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of KSA Government organization and working practices Ability to establish long term relationships with senior management in key Customers organizations.
