Nokia Solution Architect is responsible for all analysis and design related deliverables during a project life cycle. In this customer facing role, Solution Architect is involved from the very beginning of the project and is responsible for collecting customer requirements, designing the solution, working closely with implementation teams during development, integration, testing and deployment of solution into customer network. This role requires strong technical knowledge in OSS provisioning & inventory systems as well as good technical background in software development projects. Recent Architectural experience of designing telco provisioning system solutions is a mandatory requirement of this role while Nokia’s FlowOne product experience is an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities & Competencies
  • Owner of analysis and design phase of the project while working together with project management and technical teams.
  • Manages all aspects of analysis and design activities during project lifecycle.
  • Acts as primary technical interface towards customer for any analysis & design topics
  • Supports Project Manager in project planning and delivery.
  • Validates the efforts and expertise needed related to solution delivery.
  • Performs Technical Risk Analysis. Proposes and implements risk mitigation actions.
  • Supports Project Manager to ensure delivery handover to regular operations and to assure actions have been successfully implemented.
  • Supporting new opportunities to expand contracts with the customer, for example, software upgrade, new features, software correction/enhancement implementations.
  • When applicable, supports presales team to review proposed solutions and assumptions.
Skill Set
  • Experience in customer workshops, requirement gathering & documentation.
  • Prior experience in analysing customer/vendor documents, followed by creating HLD, LLD.
  • Good understanding of BSS/OSS systems and network technologies – Radio, Core, Transport and Cloud.
  • Good understanding of mobile and fixed line provisioning/fulfillment process.
  • Good understanding of simple and complex fixed line service fulfillment process through different access medias.
  • Knowledge of network management concepts, protocols & modelling.
  • Proven past experience on Nokia FlowOne (or other provisioning system) product design and development, this includes Northbound Interface (e.g. SOA WS), Service Catalog, Order Management, Provisioning and Activation, Network Element Interface, Workflow Client/OrderHub, Inventory (e.g. SRI, UIV, Number Management), Provisioning Client, Catalog Driven P&A workflow framework, Catalog Driven Fulfillment workflow framework.
  • Prior experience in programming (e.g Java, JavaScript, UNIX scripting) is a plus.
  • Prior knowledge in application server (e.g. Tomcat, Glassfish), database (e.g. Oracle/PostgreSql), integration protocol (e.g. REST, SOAP), JMS queues, SDK (e.g. Eclipse), CICD (e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab), data modelling (e.g. with Enterprise Architect) and other third party tools.
  • Knowledge in network discovery and device upload concept in inventory.
  • Prior knowledge in migrating data from legacy system into FlowOne inventory.
  • Knowledge in number/identifier allocation/deallocation in number management system.
  • Sound knowledge in supporting network element integration and troubleshooting.
  • Prior knowledge of FlowOne system upgrade, hardware sizing, high-availability architecture.
  • Prior experience in planning task work package.
  • Recognized team player, being able to guide and support technical teams and work closely with all team members, to clearly understand their needs and to provide help with task communications, resource conflicts, workload gaps and challenges.
  • Self-motivated and self-driven person with strong communication skills, who easily motivate, mentor and coach others in acquiring new skills.
  • Good technical management, time management, and organizational skills to effectively supervise projects to completion; ability to oversee projects, manage technical resource allocations and ensure completion based on project commitments and budget.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience and expertise in OSS domain and agile delivery models.
