We are currently recruiting for a Solution Architect for our client to be based out of their Abu Dhabi office.

Purpose

The solution architect should have a strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns. He/she should be capable of designing scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that meet business requirements. This involves analysing system requirements, identifying appropriate technologies, and creating system blueprints or architectural diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Experience working in a consultative, client-focused environment, acting in an advisory capacity for aviation-related software projects.
• Previous experience within the aviation industry or related domains such as Airports, Air Traffic Management, Aircraft Maintenance. Experience in Aviation Regulator is highly desirable.
• Ability to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in bridging technology solutions with the specific business requirements and challenges of an industry regulator government organization.
• Proficiency in guiding clients through appropriate technology choices aligned with their core business needs.
• Experience in implementing Business and Information Systems Architecture within the aviation sector.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with the UAE requirements such as those provided by TDRA, PMO, and other relevant authorities.
• Hands-on applications development background with expertise in enterprise systems, digital technologies (including on premise, Mobility, Data Analytics), User Interfaces, Microservices, and Decentralized Systems.
• Expertise in integrations between systems and various middle ware solutions between internal systems and hybrid solutions.
• Familiarity with API Gateways and REST APIs and their structure
• Experience and understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
• Ability to manage and lead teams of experts in solution architecture, while adhering to established methodologies and ITIL guidelines.
• Exceptional customer care and service mindset, understanding the unique needs and challenges of the aviation industry.
• Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with senior colleagues, including C-level management.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect of at least 10+ years with a strong foundation in Software Engineering, specifically in the aviation sector.
• Fluent proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Certified Professional in Software Architecture (CPSA)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) Certification
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or equivalent cloud-agnostic certification)
• Certified in CBA, CSA, C-SA
