Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SolidWorks Designer to join our team in the steel fabrication industry. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise 3D models and technical drawings for various components and assemblies, ensuring designs meet industry standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed 3D models and slide designs for steel fabrication components and assemblies.

Refine and modify designs based on project specifications and team feedback.

Utilize SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other CAD software to create accurate technical drawings.

Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure functional and standardized designs.

Conduct design reviews, revise drawings, and ensure feasibility and accuracy.

Translate existing items into SolidWorks or AutoCAD models.

Stay updated with industry trends and new design methodologies to improve design processes.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a 3D Designer or similar role in the fabrication industry.

Proficiency in 3D design software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and fabrication processes.

Experience in sheet metal design and fabrication is a strong plus.

Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

A portfolio showcasing previous 3D design projects is required.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
