Job Title: Solar Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, or industrial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and renewable energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Install solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, and related equipment on rooftops or ground-mounted systems. Conduct site assessments to determine system placement, efficiency, and safety. Perform routine maintenance and inspections of PV systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and make necessary repairs. Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical plans. Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and manufacturer specifications. Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and project managers to ensure project success. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area. Document work performed and report findings or issues to supervisors.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in solar or electrical systems preferred. Certification through NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) is a plus. Prior experience with solar panel installation or electrical work is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols. Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. Good physical stamina and hand-eye coordination. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Work Environment:

Outdoor and rooftop work environments. May involve lifting heavy equipment and working in varying weather conditions.
