Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled

Solar PV System Designer

to design efficient and cost-effective photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial projects ranging from

5kW to 2MW

in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PV system design, strong knowledge of local regulations, and proficiency in industry-standard software.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Design & Engineering:

Design

grid-tied, hybrid, and off-grid solar PV systems

(5kW - 2MW) for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Conduct

shading analysis, energy yield assessments, and system optimization

using tools like

PVsyst, AutoCAD, and SketchUp

. Prepare

single-line diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, and mounting structure designs

. Select appropriate

PV modules, inverters, batteries, and balance of system (BOS) components

. Ensure compliance with

DEWA other UAE utility and authorities' regulations

.

2. Technical Documentation & Proposal Support:

Prepare

technical specifications, BoQs (Bill of Quantities), and cost estimations

. Assist in preparing

feasibility studies, tender documents, and client proposals

. Prepare

shop drawings, equipment submittals, and installation plans

.

3. Site Assessment & Compliance:

Conduct

site visits

to assess roof/ground conditions, structural integrity, and electrical infrastructure. Ensure designs meet

UAE fire & safety codes, and local authority requirements

. Liaise with

utilities, contractors, and consultants

for approvals and grid interconnection permits.

4. Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

Simulate system performance and conduct

loss analysis

(soiling, mismatch, degradation). Recommend

efficiency improvements.

5. Team Collaboration & Project Support:

Work closely with

sales, engineering, and installation teams

to ensure smooth project execution. Provide technical guidance to junior designers and drafters.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.

3+ years of solar PV design experience (UAE/GCC experience preferred).

Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel & Project.

Strong knowledge of

standards and UAE regulations.

Familiarity with

3D modelling (SketchUp, Revit) and structural analysis (for mounting systems).

Excellent

analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications:

DEWA-Shams solar PV expert certification.
