The Role: Solar Installation Engineer (Trackers & PV Modules)
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Solar Installation Engineer
to oversee and manage the complete mechanical execution of the array field, including the installation of
Module Mounting Structure (MMS)
,
Solar Tracker systems
, and the crucial
PV Module mounting
. The successful candidate will ensure all mechanical works are completed safely, to the highest quality standards, and within project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management:
Lead and supervise all activities related to the installation and erection of Module Mounting Structures (MMS), solar tracker systems (single-axis/dual-axis), and the precise attachment of
PV modules
.
Quality & Safety:
Ensure strict adherence to engineering drawings, module installation manuals, specifications, project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans, and all site health and safety regulations.
Technical Oversight:
Provide technical guidance and resolution for issues encountered during foundation, structural steel erection, torque tube assembly, and the final mechanical and electrical connection of the
PV modules
.
Coordination:
Liaise effectively with civil and electrical teams, subcontractors, and the project management team to ensure seamless workflow and project handover.
Reporting:
Track progress, manage material inventory (MMS components, fasteners,
modules
), and prepare detailed daily and weekly reports on site activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience
in the installation, supervision, and execution of structural works and
PV module mounting
for utility-scale solar PV projects.
Specialized Knowledge:
Proven expertise with various
Solar Tracker systems
(e.g., Nextracker, Array Technologies, FTC, etc.) and best practices for large-scale
PV module installation
.
Skills:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural and civil engineering drawings. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Certification:
Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are a plus.
