Job Opening: Solar helper

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Solar Helper to assist in the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems. This entry-level position supports solar technicians and electricians on residential and commercial job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to follow safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting solar panels and tools to and from job sites. Help prepare and maintain the work area for solar system installations. Support the installation team by passing tools, mounting hardware, and materials. Perform basic labor tasks such as digging trenches, mounting racking systems, and organizing equipment. Clean and maintain tools and equipment used during installations. Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times. Learn and apply basic solar installation techniques under the supervision of experienced technicians. Maintain a positive attitude and assist team members as needed to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred. No prior solar experience required, but construction or electrical experience is a plus. Willingness to learn and take direction from senior staff. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on rooftops or in outdoor environments. Comfortable using hand and power tools. Reliable transportation to job sites. OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain is a plus.

Work Environment:

Outdoor work with exposure to sun, wind, and other weather conditions. May involve working at heights and on rooftops. Requires physical labor and the ability to stand, kneel, and lift throughout the workday.
