Our client is a well-established retail and consumer data analytics and business intelligence organization specializing in solutions for demographic data collection, registration and queue management, RFID solutions, predictive analysis.

We are hiring a software support engineer to lead the support execution of testing systems, database and interfaces for SaaS enterprise systems.

Role Summary

• Design, develop and maintain new applications and real-time embedded systems in a testing environment.

• Conduct research to test and analyze feasibility, design, operation, validation and performance of systems.

• Code error diagnosis, debugging, validation and root cause analysis to resolve issues.

• Gather and analyze user requirements and translate them into system test case scenarios.

• System testing, system integration testing and regression testing.

• Maintain software documentation.

• 4+ years' experience in a highly technical enterprise software development support role, dealing with Java / J2EE application troubleshooting.

• Software development processes including configuration management, readiness testing, debugging, documentation.

• Hands-on experience in Automated Test Framework (ATF) for creating/updating test scripts and test suites.

• Strong experienced in authoring test cases.

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Testing life cycle (STLC

• Strong working experience on Jira / Confluence or any other test management tool.

• Object-oriented programming and design, data structures, multi-threaded development.

• Wireshark; Version Control Systems such as Git/SVN/Mercurial

• Experience on DB and SQL and in a SaaS working environment with DevOps and optimally completing large projects

• Advanced knowledge of computer Networking (communication and transfer protocols such as SSL and TLS, proxies, firewalls, authentication and authorization protocols)

• Advanced relational Database knowledge and experience with most common RDBMS (mySQL, Postgres, Oracle).

• Knowledge of Unix / Linux, SQL Server optimization, infrastructure, network administration, databases.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

• Currently living in the United Arab Emirates - must be able to live and work in Dubai.

• Fluent in English.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentations skills as this is a customer facing role.
