Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire new to bank high-value SME clients and deepen existing relationships to grow liabilities and revenues
  • Build strong client engagement to understand business needs and improve banking services
  • Increase wallet share through effective cross-selling and upselling of banking products and services
  • Drive sales volumes and market share within the assigned SME segment
  • Ensure timely response and turnaround of customer requests and business applications
  • Structure pricing for GM and Cash products in coordination with internal stakeholders
  • Establish a customer-focused approach that delivers a strong competitive advantage
  • Actively source new business leads and follow up on prospects within designated market segments
  • Plan and conduct regular client visits, including joint visits with GTB and GM partners
  • Coordinate with product managers and specialists to promote relevant bank offerings
  • Provide customers with accurate and timely product information and updates on new services
  • Prepare and maintain a self-development plan and participate in required training programs
Risk Management Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate updating of KYC documentation
  • Work closely with internal teams to manage compliance, operational, and credit risks
  • Prepare credit applications, analyze financial statements, and submit for approval in line with bank policies
  • Ensure credit applications and renewals are completed accurately and within regulatory frameworks
  • Assess creditworthiness, recommend appropriate credit limits, and manage portfolio risk proactively
  • Identify early warning signals of account stress and pursue recovery of past due exposures
  • Monitor portfolio quality and ensure timely renewal of facilities within agreed timelines
  • Adhere to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in structuring and pricing
  • Support internal audit and risk reviews and address audit findings within agreed timelines
  • Monitor potential money laundering activities and coordinate remedial actions with management
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university
  • Proven experience in SME or business banking relationship management
  • Strong sales management skills and ability to work as a team player
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and business assessment capabilities
  • Ability to structure and assess complex SME facilities, including those with international exposure
  • Strong leadership presence with performance and result-driven mindset
  • Good understanding of SME banking products and competitive landscape
  • Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation abilities
  • Postgraduate qualification in business management or business administration is an advantage
