Job Description

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Type: Full-time, Consultancy

Experience: 5-7 years post-graduate

Reports to: Senior/Principal Engineer
Key Responsibilities:Design and develop road and highway projects, ensuring compliance with local UAE and international standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions Utilise advanced engineering software to create detailed road and highway designs Implement sustainable and innovative road construction techniques Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and project documentation Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and tender documents Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in road and highway engineering Prepare construction drawings and support engineers with quantity take-offs and BOQs. Support DMT/ADM/ITC submission Collaborate with engineers, BIM managers, GIS teams, and stakeholders for seamless data and model exchange.

Requirements:Technical experience & engineering knowledge in road design principles including: + Select/design & operating speeds, sight distances, stopping/decision checks.
+ Produce alignments, profiles, superelevation (calc + application), typical sections, transitions.
+ Experience with junction/roundabout geometry, lane balance, storage/tapers, median openings, access management.
Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D for road and civil infrastructure design with demonstrable skills to develop and maintain roadway and civil models in Autodesk Civil 3D (alignments, corridors, profiles, cross-sections, detailing, drainage networks). Knowledge of stormwater/road drainage principles. Knowledge of local and international standards and how to apply them to design outputs. (Example: ADM, AASHTO, HEC-22, DMRB, BS/EN, etc) Experience with producing technical notes and design reports.

Desirable Skills:Understanding of DMT/ADM/ITC submission portals. Experience with signing/marking and roadside safety layouts Familiarity with InfraWorks for conceptual and preliminary design Knowledge of AASHTO/ADM TR513 pavement design Hands-on experience with InfoDrainage/SSA will be beneficial.

Education & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent. Autodesk Civil 3D Certified Professional (desired).
