Overview of the role:

The role involves managing work using the allocated workforce to ensure tasks are completed within scheduled timelines, while coordinating closely with the project planner or project manager to plan activities at least a month in advance. It includes scheduling material deliveries in line with the project programme, and supporting commercial functions by monitoring preliminary project costs versus actual expenditure. The position is also responsible for achieving productivity targets, managing resources within tendered limits, and minimizing material wastage. Additionally, the planning function must continually track and review project progress against the agreed timetable.

Responsible for:

Planning, coordinating and reviewing the progress of the Construction programme, taking any necessary corrective action to meet and where possible, exceed the expectation of the client To determine resource requirements for works, including defining future personnel requirements Through progress meeting with individual and where necessary, multiple trades, ensure that all sub-contractors have all the necessary resources and information to deliver the programme of work Ensure compliance with the contract drawings and specifications, together with the Employer's requirements and contractors proposals. Accountable for specific areas of responsibility and deliverables and manages the associated risks Delivers activities to support operational objectives for their specific contract, project or specialism Inputs to planning activities with horizons of typically 6 months to one year Operates with agreed operational and/or management guidelines Interacts with client or users around specific works efforts and deliverables Manage the activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards taking account of impact outside area of responsibility Focus of work is predominantly against defined targets but performs a range of task from complex to straightforward Ensure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety, quality of services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed within AFC Continuous Improvement Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of process and practices taking into account, the interests and benefits to Al Futtaim and its employees.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

Qualified Civil Engineer / Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Exposure interreacting with clients, contractors

Minimum Experience:

8 years of work experience in which of 5 years directly managing the project site.
