Position Summary

Plans, directs, or coordinates the work activities and resources necessary for site maintenance operations in accordance with safety, quality, delivery specifications, and cost requirements. It involves working closely with client management to ensure clear understanding of operating patterns required to manage staffing needs. The ideal candidate will have experience, ability, competencies, and aptitude to lead, manage, supervise, and be accountable for a dedicated team of personnel to ensure the day-to-day maintenance and operations activities are achieved to meet the team and client objectives and business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate operations and maintenance activities.
  • Review operating schedules and maintenance work orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
  • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve operation problems.
  • Improve operation tracking and quality control systems.
  • Review, maintain, audit, and control the Planned Preventive Maintenance program to maximize equipment efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain operations reports.
  • Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
  • Help develop and ensure effective use of maintenance tools and systems, such as work orders, spare part management, maintenance service requests, JSEA and risk assessment.
  • Contractor management, ensure contractors are adhering to relevant safety standards, including Life Saving Rules and Fatality Prevention Behaviors.
  • Work with SCM to improve inventory and cost control programs. Control spare parts, working with SCM to create new part numbers where necessary, and ensure min/max levels are accurate and correct.
  • Review and manage service agreements to ensure the site complies with relevant statutory requirements.
  • Drive improvements in efficiency through equipment maintenance and upgrades, personnel training, process improvements, spare parts, and TPM/Kaizen projects.
  • Participate in project meetings as required and perform STOP and Self Verification audits as prescribed.
  • This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is required. College Degree is preferred. Training in Operations and Maintenance Management is beneficial for the job.
  • Five (5) years Maintenance and Operations Management experience; or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office 365, specifically Word and Excel, knowledge of ERP and TPM systems is preferred.

Additional Information

This position is considered SHOP/INDOORS and SHOP/OUTDOORS which is characterized as follows.
  • Daily tasks may include indoor and outdoor work during the day and at night.
  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.
  • PPE will be a requirement and will be provided
