Job Description

The Site Engineer with a Joinery background is responsible for supervising the installation of custom joinery works at project sites, ensuring high-quality finishes and compliance with project specifications. This role requires strong technical knowledge of joinery production and installation, site coordination, and the ability to manage subcontractors and timelines effectively.

Key Responsibilities:1. Site Supervision & Execution

Oversee day-to-day site activities related to joinery installation. Ensure installation is done as per approved shop drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Coordinate with other trades (civil, MEP, etc.) to avoid clashes and ensure smooth execution. Identify site issues and resolve them promptly to avoid project delays.

2. Technical Coordination

Review joinery shop drawings and coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure accuracy. Conduct site measurements and ensure alignment with production dimensions. Liaise with consultants, clients, and main contractors for approvals and inspections.

3. Quality Control & Safety

Ensure joinery works are installed to the required quality standards and finishes. Conduct site inspections and prepare snag lists for rectification prior to handover. Enforce site safety procedures and ensure all workers comply with health and safety regulations.

4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily site logs, work progress reports, and installation checklists. Monitor material delivery schedules and report shortages or delays. Participate in site meetings and provide technical updates as required.

5. Team Coordination

Supervise site joinery teams, subcontractors, and installation crews. Plan manpower allocation and ensure productivity is maintained.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

3-5 years

of experience in site supervision of

joinery or interior fit-out works

. Strong understanding of joinery materials, fabrication methods, and installation techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD proficiency preferred). Good command of written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus. Knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
