An

Estimation Site Engineer

is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing plans and specifications to determine labor, material, and equipment costs. They collaborate with various teams, including project managers and vendors, develop cost models, and create budget and cost tracking reports. The role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in relevant software. Responsibilities

Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings to prepare detailed cost estimates. Calculate the costs of labor, materials, and other resources needed for a project. Develop and maintain a bill of quantities (BOQ). Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accuracy and to discuss estimates. Consult with vendors and subcontractors to get competitive pricing. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports. Use computer software for cost estimation, data analysis, and cost tracking. Monitor material and labor costs to maintain the accuracy of estimates. Research new materials and construction methods to stay current with industry changes.
Qualifications

Education:

A bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., Civil, Mechanical) is typically required.

Experience:

Experience in cost estimation, engineering projects, or construction management is essential.

Skills:

Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with estimation software (e.g., Candy, CostX, AutoCAD, Revit) and Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of different estimating tools and methods used in the industry. Problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.

Certifications:

Professional certifications in cost estimation can be advantageous.
