Job Summary

AMS Maritime LLC

is seeking a dedicated and experienced

Ship Mechanic

to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of all mechanical systems onboard our fleet, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Perform

routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs

on all vessel machinery: Main and auxiliary engines Fuel, lubrication, and cooling systems Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Pumps, compressors, generators, and steering gears Propulsion units and associated mechanisms Diagnose mechanical faults using professional tools and technical manuals Maintain accurate

maintenance logs

and

service reports

Assist with equipment overhauls, parts replacements, and dry dock activities Monitor spare parts inventory and submit purchase requests as needed Participate in emergency drills and respond promptly to mechanical failures Collaborate with engine room crew and coordinate with the Chief Engineer Diploma or certification in

STCW certifications

and Seafarer's ID Minimum

2 years' experience

working onboard vessels in mechanical roles Strong technical knowledge of: Diesel and auxiliary engines Hydraulic/pneumatic systems Propulsion and power generation units Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals Physically fit and comfortable working in confined, offshore environments Excellent
