Job Summary:
The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the restaurant's operations during assigned shifts. This role ensures smooth service, manages staff performance, maintains high-quality customer service, and ensures compliance with company standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff during the shift.
Ensure smooth restaurant operations and excellent customer service.
Handle guest concerns and resolve complaints promptly.
Manage staff breaks, shift rotations, and attendance.
Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and health & safety compliance.
Assist in opening/closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reports.
Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to meet customer expectations.
Train and motivate team members to maintain high performance.
Report incidents, maintenance issues, or operational concerns to the Manager.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role, preferably in F&B or hospitality.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage pressure.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
