In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing high-quality sheet metal products, ensuring precision and excellence in every project. Your expertise will contribute to a variety of construction projects, making a tangible impact on our operations and client satisfaction.
What you'll do
Fabricate and install sheet metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques to ensure strong, reliable joints.
Operate various tools, including power tools, hand tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for precise fabrication.
Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to execute projects accurately.
Conduct pipe threading and ductwork assembly with attention to detail.
Perform rigging tasks safely while utilizing cranes and forklifts for material handling.
Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards throughout all fabrication processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction environments with a strong focus on sheet metal work.
Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and plasma cutting techniques.
Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for precise measurements.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues effectively.
Basic math skills for accurate calculations during fabrication processes.
Experience with assembly processes, including soldering and machining tasks.
Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required.
A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and improving skills in the field.
