Your Role
The service engineer will be responsible to provide a high quality and efficient service to all customers in the MENA region and Pakistan comprising the complete portfolio of turbo machines (Turbo Compressors and Turbo Expanders).
Besides the accomplishment of service jobs he will be the main technical interface to the customer to discuss the execution of service orders, to analyze technical problems and to provide basic training.
This role also involves an intensive communication and interaction with the three different product companies of the Gas & Process division pertaining to the preparation of service jobs or to clarify technical queries.
Since the region to be covered embraces all Middle East, African and Pakistan, the service engineer is expected to travel extensively to the customer sites to perform his duties.

Trouble shooting and effective diagnose of faults on all turbo machines
Preventive maintenance, inspection and overhauls of all turbo machines
Overhaul of customer machines
Execute workshop activities in ACSME workshop
Preparation of work and time schedules for the different service orders
Assignments Compilation of risk assessments, method statements, inspection and testing plans
Detailed reporting and documentation of executed service jobs
Spare parts recommendations to customers for different service levels or periodic service intervals
Recommend upgrades and machine enhancements to customers
Perform overhauls on board LNG vessels while sailing and in dry docks
Interaction with the product companies concerning technical issues and customer queries.
Training of customer employees regarding daily operation and service of their turbo machines
Attend daily work progress meetings with customers if required
Ensure all site activities are executed in compliance with the applicable Safety Standards
Timely reporting to office during standby times
Excepted travel around 90% within MENA and globally
Joining and signing-off from LNG vessels from different seaports all over the globe
To have technical discussions with customer\'s maintenance teams and support them making decisions regarding procurement of new spares, maintenance schedules upgrades and revamps
Work on assigned projects related to the aftermarket data compilation in idle time with the collaboration of sales team as and when needed by the management from time to time.
Extensive automobile/airline travel.
Job schedule may vary considerably to include evenings and weekends as well as long hours based on business needs.
May be assigned a compressed or alternate work schedule to meet customer needs.
May be assigned an "on-call" type work schedule and may be required to respond to customers with little or no advanced notice.
Accomplish field service assignments or workshop repairs / overhauls as specified in the work order
Provide a timely and accurate feedback about the work progress to the service administration
Safeguard that all time sheets are endorsed and signed by the responsible manager of the customer
Compile risk assessments and method statements if requested by the customer
Submit comprehensive service reports in a timely manner after job completion
Provide supporting documents along with the service report, e.g. updated drawings, actual clearance tables, images or log sheets concerning unpredictable incidents
Comply with the quality standard ISO 9001:2008 of the product companies (OEM)
Adhere to ACSME safety and environmental policies
Undergo customer safety inductions and follow site safety plans
To succeed, you will need
Essential Qualifications:
-Electrical, mechatronics or mechanical engineering degree
-Minimum 3 years proven experience with the service, maintenance and repair of rotating equipment
Technical:
-Strong knowledge and field service experience working with turbo machinery
-Solid knowledge about mechanics, hydraulics, lubrication and seal gas systems
-Knowledgeable about instrumentation and control systems Good verbal and written communication skills
-Strong organizational skills
