Job Description

Overview: JOB SUMMARY Plan, model and recommend refined well intervention and/or well abandonment programs for projects. Interface with clients, sales and operations personnel. The job will cover all the aspects of well engineering as related to the well integrity and well interventions of wells. She/he will also be responsible for recommendations and evaluations of existing data as well as end-of-well data and is the main responsible for the design and oversight of the operational development of her/his designs and proposals.
Regarded as fully qualified and standalone professional. Responsible for diverse assignments requiring general familiarity with a broad engineering, operational or management capability and/or knowledge.

Problems require the use of combinations of standard procedures, design software, or methods developed in previous assignments.
Decision Level: Makes independent studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusions. Complex or unusual matters are usually referred to more senior levels.
Supervision required:
None. Work is assigned in terms of objectives and relative priorities. Work is carried out within broad guidelines, but informed guidance is available.

Authority Level:
May provide technical or operational guidance to one or junior staff in a common project. Has authority to control and organize short-term planning and medium-term planning with stakeholders Responsibilities: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for preparing well programs for well intervention and abandonment, coordinating across a multi-functional team and ensuring focus on Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SSH&E), operations integrity, and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure the program capture past lesson learnt for improvement on safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Deliver well intervention & integrity operations safely and as per planned. Ensure reliable tools are utilized for the operation thru coordination with QA/QC team.
  • Define the integrity status for all wells during operational phase and develop prioritized remedial plans.
  • Lead day-to-day planning and operations in coordination with Well Site Supervisors and contractors related to assigned projects
  • Surveillance and monitoring of daily progress to ensure operations are conducted applying the optimum technologies and operational practices
  • Analysis of operational performance and coordination with operations personnel to implement changes in procedures and equipment
  • Uses Engineering skill set to finds inefficiencies and makes recommendations to management on how to best improve well times and project costs
  • Keeps abreast of the latest available technology
  • Provides surveillance of well costs and stewardship reconciliation exercises
  • Is responsible for its proposal, a detailed risk analysis based on factual risk events for the application, and the development of investigation of unscheduled events and non-conformance incidents.
  • Support the training and development of younger proffesionals
  • Provides real-+time decision support
  • Assist Well Site Supervisors (WSS) in the management of unscheduled events by technical reviewing and providing technical input to support alternate operational plans or designs, and registering the MOC and/or exemptions accordingly.
  • Contributes to project HSE Plan target accomplishment
Qualifications: EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION Required:
  • MSc/B.Sc in engineering or scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience of relevant industry experience in a well engineering role (related to completions and/or interventions),
  • Demonstrated knowledge of well design and planning, drilling safety and well control principles, environmental regulations, and field operations.
  • Fully functional in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent written and spoken Eng

Preferred:
  • Relevant experience both field and office with an Integrated Services OFS company.
  • Experienced or trained in Well Abandonment Engineering solutions
  • Fluent in Second Language
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITY Required:
  • Strong communication organizing, trouble shouting and multi-tasking skills. Especially when under pressure and in demanding conditions.
  • Attend and have the ability to lead meetings with vendors / contractors / clients as/if required.
  • Positive attitude, with a high degree of self-discipline and self-motivation.
  • Detailed knowledge and compliance of Weatherford work processes, policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, take direction from supervisor(s) and lead personnel, and prioritize work schedule.

  • Adaptability & Flexibility.
  • Enhance technical competencies by keeping abreast of new trends, techniques, and technologies.
