Independently develops and/or supervises the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.
Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
Using major strategic transport modelling software packages such as VISUM / EMME and including experience in model development. Experience in development of scripts and macros in these packages are plus.
Using micro-simulation modelling (VISSIM) and intersection modelling (SIDRA / Synchro) software packages
Interpretation of modelling results and contributing to development of area wide or corridor transport strategies.
Assessing the traffic Impact of new developments to support master plan development.
Proven capability in Excel and, if possible, VBA/ GIS
Attend meetings with Authority, clients and collaborators
Preparation of technical and non-technical reports from inception to the final authority approval, regular client and authority meeting to satisfying the job requirements
Provides support for other engineering activities as required. May supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.
May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.
Provides input and technical guidance to other discipline and /or lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and /or equivalent
Minimum 6 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in traffic operations and analysis of various traffic projects
Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
Through knowledge of conducting Traffic Impact Studies (TIS), Transport Masterplans (TMP), Road Corridor Studies, Design-Build Studies, especially in Dubai and KSA
Should be able to use Microsoft Excel tools, such as VBA, for numerical and analytical tasks
Ability to work under pressure to fulfill project deadlines is essential, as is willingness to take on project delivery and client engagement responsibilities
Must be highly motivated, with excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills, and be open to new challenges
Participate in strategizing, writing, and reviewing proposals and engage in Business Development meetings as needed
SIDRA , SYNCHRO & HCS software Proficient
