We are seeking an experienced Senior Technician - Inspection Services to carry out inspection, testing, and certification activities for lifting equipment, pressure vessels, and related assets. The role requires strong hands-on technical expertise, compliance with applicable standards, and the ability to work independently while supporting supervisory responsibilities when required.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inspections, testing, and certification of lifting equipment and accessories in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
Perform inspection and assessment of pressure vessels, air receivers, and alumina tankers.
Carry out breakdown inspections and ensure safe operation of equipment.
Inspect and assess:
Overhead cranes and mobile cranes
Forklifts and MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms)
Loose lifting equipment and accessories
Perform and interpret NDT activities (PT, MT, VT) as per certification scope.
Prepare accurate inspection reports, checklists, and certification documents.
Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and site safety procedures.
Utilize CMMS systems for inspection records, maintenance coordination, and reporting.
Support supervisory duties, guide junior technicians, and coordinate site activities when required.
Liaise with clients, site representatives, and internal teams to ensure timely service delivery.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural (Civil) Engineering.
NDT Level II certification (PT, MT, VT) as per ASNT SNT-TC-1A or equivalent.
Experience & Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with:
Lifting equipment and accessories
Pressure vessels and air receivers
Equipment breakdowns, inspections, and testing
Proven experience inspecting:
Overhead and mobile cranes
Forklifts and MEWPs
Loose lifting equipment
Air receivers and alumina tankers
Sound knowledge of relevant inspection codes, standards, and safety practices.
