Jumeirah Creekside Hotel is a contemporary lifestyle hotel located 2km from Dubai International Airport in the heart of old Dubai. About the Job:

Ensure that the property and assets are maintained in the highest order through the implementation of the \xe2\x80\x9cJumeirah Engineering Management System\xe2\x80\x9d and through effective use of materials. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns, replacement, refurbishing and repairing etc. May include training and assessing of other technicians and general assistants.

Your main duties will include:

• To carry out the maintenance of all kitchen equipment
• To order or repair any damaged kitchen & Laundry equipment as well as maintain and replace spares.
• Check and maintain all hot ranges, kettles brazing pans, convention ovens, bain marie, mixers pass counters, cold cabinets, dishwashers, hot cabinet, Freezers, Fridge, and all related equipment.
• Repair and maintain all laundry like washers, dryers, pressing machines, flat work ironer, towel folders and all steam related equipment.
• To work on all electrical, mechanical and refrigeration equipment
• All work is to be carried out following technical regulations and safety standards as required in Dubai-UAE.
• To complete work orders, PPMs, CWAs as directed.
• To select correct materials from engineering stores.
• To organise work in a skilled and professional manner.
• To advise supervisor promptly of any problems.
• To ensure safe working conditions for yourself and your colleagues and report to senior colleagues any unsafe working conditions.
• To ensure that work areas are left in a safe and tidy condition.
• Read and understand basic drawings.
• Work on own initiative without full supervision or direction.
• Request support and direction as needed.
• Be familiar with and comply with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes and procedures.
• Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management team including assistance for large events or hotel functions.

• To select correct material from engineering store and request for purchase for new items through the storekeeper.
• Ensure that the par level of all kitchen and laundry spares are being maintained in the stores.
• Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Management. Will be asked to work in other areas such as guest room technician & others if needed.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma
• Secondary School Certificate
• Any other technical qualifications related to Plumbing works.

Experience

Minimum 3-5 years\' experience in installation / maintaining of all plumbing services.

Preferably should have experience in a similar position.

Skills

• Good command in English (spoken and written)
• To carry out skilled maintenance and repairs under direction and supervision.
• Knowledge of various trades like mechanical, electrical etc would be very helpful.
• Safety Training (Fire Fighting Training)
