Job Summary
The Senior Technical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring designs are implemented accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. The role requires coordination with project managers, consultants, architects, and site teams to resolve technical issues and drive construction excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Coordinate with consultants and architects to resolve design conflicts and ensure technical alignment.
Provide technical support to site engineers and project managers during all project phases.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, Dubai Municipality regulations, and international standards.
Prepare and review method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.
Evaluate and approve subcontractor technical submissions.
Monitor site progress and resolve on-site technical challenges in collaboration with site supervisors.
Conduct technical risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
Lead value engineering and design optimization efforts.
Attend technical coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Assist in project handover documentation and ensure as-built drawings are submitted accurately.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
8+ years of technical experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in the UAE.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, structural design, and MEP coordination.
Familiarity with Dubai authority approvals (DM, DDA, Trakhees, etc.).
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office. Knowledge of Primavera P6 is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
UAE Driving License is an advantage.
