Our client a multi-asset brokerage and clearer is seeking to hire a Senior System Support Associate for their Dubai office. This role requires candidates with 5+ years experience in a similar role as well as experience working in a financial services / trading environment. Position Summary This position will serve as level 2 escalation for the resolution pertaining to workstations, laptops, virtual machines, mobile devices, and printers in a geographically diverse 25 to 45-user environment. Troubleshoot, research, diagnose, document, and resolve technical issues surrounding Windows 10, VMware virtual desktops, MS Office 365, MS Exchange E-mail, network-based print services, and hardware/peripherals, etc. Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assures uninterrupted service from end user equipment (printers, pcs, laptops) through preventative maintenance and patch management.
- Responsible for installation and testing of new end user equipment.
- Assists internal users with computer desktop hardware and software problem resolution.
- Assist remote users with the installation of application software.
- Responsible for VMware virtual desktop deployments, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Creation and maintenance of centralized desktop management applications and tools.
- Automation of routine tasks
- Responsible for endpoint security software, involved in incident response as a member of the SIRT, and virus cleanup
- Participate in after hour on-call/weekend support.
- Assist Telecom with Speakerbus turrets and Cisco Desk phones when required.
- Oversee Office Facilities related work when required.
- Local vendor management supporting procurement of IT hardware, Office Supplies & Stationary.
- 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience supporting end users on desktop and internet software on Microsoft Windows Platforms.
- Financial Services and trading environment experience required.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) required.
- Solid knowledge of networking (e.g., LAN/WAN, TCP/IP). PC and desktop applications expertise (e.g., Microsoft Office, e-mail, etc.) and desktop security.
- Solid experience with trading applications, such as CQG, Fidessa, ICE, Bloomberg, and exchange supported applications required
