Sr. Specialist - Trials Operations Planning (Grade 7)
The Sr. Specialist Trials Operations Planning provides a single scheduling authority for planning Training, Test and Evaluation activities in owned airspace, training areas, and ranges. They are responsible for planning, deconflicting and allocating resources in support of day-to-day testing operations, including coordinating client test schedules and optimizing range space allocation to ensure multiple pan-domain tests can safely take place within relatively close proximity to each other.
This role is a safety critical role in ensuring the safe conduct of a test as well as an enabler for optimizing range capacity and increasing the utilization of the XRANGE for a greater number of customers. The candidate will work closely with multiple departments within REMAYA including the XRANGE Operations Team and the Business Development Team as well as have a customer facing role.
Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule Development. Creating and maintaining master schedules for projects, tests, or demonstration activities based on resource availability, deadlines, priorities and client desired outcomes.
• Resource Allocation. Assigning personnel, equipment, and materials to specific tests or projects according to schedule requirements and resource availability.
• Coordination. Collaborating with various departments, teams, or stakeholders to ensure alignment of schedules, resolve conflicts, and optimise resource utilisation.
• Monitoring and Tracking. Monitoring the progress and achievement of tests or projects, tracking key milestones, and identifying potential delays or issues that may impact the over testing schedule.
• Schedule Optimisation. Analysing schedule data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime, whilst delivering value for money solutions for client testing.
• Risk Management. Identifying potential risks to the schedule's success and proposing mitigating actions as well as developing contingency plans and deconflicting test schedules.
• Communication. Providing regular updates on schedule status, progress, and potential impacts to relevant stakeholders, including management, project teams, and clients.
• Documentation. Maintaining accurate records of schedules, changes, and updates, as well as documenting any deviations from the original plan and their resolutions.
• Continuous Improvement. Evaluating existing scheduling processes, tools, and procedures, and proposing enhancements or adjustments to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Experience & Qualifications

• BSc in a related field (Engineering etc.)
• APMP or equivalent formal project management certification from a recognized international body.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in project planning and operations scheduling for a defense/ government company.
• Developed or managed integrated master schedules (IMS) for complex technical projects

Key Skill:

• You must have excellent organizational management skills and be an effective communicator at multiple levels.
• Working knowledge of global defence project management processes
• You must demonstrate previous experience of working on military exercise or commercial test ranges and demonstrate excellent understanding of best-practice range operations.
• Demonstrated scheduling experience and knowledge of industry standard scheduling toolsets and software as well as development of Integrated Master Schedules.
