The Role
The Cybersecurity Senior Specialist is responsible for maintaining the security of all systems, networks, and applications using Microsoft and other products. The Senior Specialist will develop, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of M365 and Azure systems, networks, and information. They will also perform security risk assessments and develop strategies to reduce security risks. The Senior Specialist will serve as a security consultant to other departments within the organization and provide guidance regarding security policies and procedures. \xe2\x80\xa2 Design, implement and utilize advanced functions of M365, including security, governance, and compliance (eg. DLP, AIP, E-Discovery, Retention Policy, Intune, MCAS) \xe2\x80\xa2 Design, implement and manage Azure Security Center, Azure Active Directory, Log analytics, Azure Key Vault, RBAC, PIM, Azure Network Security Groups, Azure DDoS Protection, Azure Advanced Threat Protection. \xe2\x80\xa2 Track, analyze, and contain spam and malware emails through advanced hunting. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyze user system and application needs, determine and evaluate potential solutions, develop system specifications and requirements, and design application programs to meet the requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Research, analyze and evaluate current technical cybersecurity trends, emerging technologies and standards, new software functionality, and alternative software solutions to determine applicability and viability at USF \xe2\x80\xa2 Configure & monitor different attributes and handling scale up and scale down scenarios for the application in Azure \xe2\x80\xa2 Azure application security design and management such as DevOps and Power Automate, application registration and B2b and b2c integration. \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement enterprise application using platform services like azure websites, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, notification hubs, event hubs, stream analytics, Document Db, application insights etc \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain relationship with third party service providers \xe2\x80\xa2 Technically aware of all technologies \xe2\x80\xa2 Current & future technology plans Functional Competencies \xe2\x80\xa2 Azure Active Directory \xe2\x80\xa2 M365 Security and Compliance center \xe2\x80\xa2 Pyton coding \xe2\x80\xa2 Auditing and deep investigation using various MS tools \xe2\x80\xa2 Power BI reporting \xe2\x80\xa2 M365 Architecture design \xe2\x80\xa2 M365 Performance management \xe2\x80\xa2 M365 Development and Maintenance \xe2\x80\xa2 M365 Application Security Management \xe2\x80\xa2 System Auditing and Controls \xe2\x80\xa2 Planning and Analysis \xe2\x80\xa2 Project Management \xe2\x80\xa2 Application architecture performance reporting \xe2\x80\xa2 On time completion of tasks \xe2\x80\xa2 Response time to faults \xe2\x80\xa2 Auto testing

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field \xe2\x80\xa2 7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in related position \xe2\x80\xa2 Microsoft M365 and Azure Management, adminstrative, and maintenance \xe2\x80\xa2 CISSP is preferred \xe2\x80\xa2 Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct investigations (preferred) \xe2\x80\xa2 Relevant Microsoft certifications are preferred (Such as MCSA or MCSE) \xe2\x80\xa2 Enterprise level applications \xe2\x80\xa2 Azure and IT services and Architecture \xe2\x80\xa2 O365 administration functions, security and privacy functions and data classification functions \xe2\x80\xa2 Application Program Interfaces (APIs), Messaging Software, Performance Management and Capacity Planning \xe2\x80\xa2 and Interoperability Techniques and Standards \xe2\x80\xa2 App registration and integration \xe2\x80\xa2 Powershell scripts, Power BI and Sentinel
