Information Services Senior Specialist
Key Responsibility: Infrastructure & Technology:
Implement Global, Regional and Branch IS projects
Provide technical support to branch users and perform troubleshooting on endpoint devices, software applications, servers and network
IT hardware assets management such as Purchasing, Tracking, Maintenance, Replacement
Assists IS Manager with preparation and management of IS budget
Have a branch disaster recovery plan for IS and support recovery efforts when they occur
Enterprise Data & Analytics:
Provide technical support on Expeditors business operating systems and manage support requests that come within branch through incident management tool
Train employees on system architecture, data management, reporting, and other available IT tools
Helps to increase branch productivity by identifying processes that could be improved or automated and by developing an approved solution (scripts, workflow monitors, etc.)
Setting up and modifying reports using reporting applications for internal users as well as customers
Provide Internal and External EDI Support
Customer Solutions:
Present technology solutions and provide technical assistance to customers
Train internal users on Expeditors technology solutions
Compliance:
Responsible for 100% compliance with Expeditors IS Operational Process Standards at branch
Conduct quarterly branch IS audits and share results with IS Manager
Vendor Management:
Maintain and manage a list of approved IT vendors
Build strong relationships with IT vendors
Evaluate support performances of IT vendors on a regular basis
Ensure vendor invoices are processed and payment is made in a timely manner
Knowledge:
Good knowledge in managing systems infrastructure and Cybersecurity
Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, etc.
Basic programming knowledge using SQL, Python, VBScript or JavaScript
Understanding of logistics & supply chain operations (preferred)
Skills :
Strong PC software skills including Windows and related software applications (Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
Advanced PC troubleshooting, maintenance, and deployment skills
Effective communication (written and verbal) and customer service skills

Branch Security Support Requirements
Administration
Manage and operate security systems (Security, Health and Safety Portal, CCTV, intrusion alarm, access control, etc.).
Coordinate timely completion (within 90 days) of outstanding Security Corrective Actions / Preventive Actions with appropriate parties, and communicate issues to the District Security Manager.
Be a part of the District Business Review meeting to discuss security-related issues, concerns, and best practices.
Coach employees and management on how to complete incident reporting per the Security Incident Reporting Standard.
Support all district security incident investigations, in coordination with District Security Manager.
Support Business Continuity Plan development and testing.
Ensure 100% district compliance with all local security regulations, in coordination with district Security Manager.
Ensure 100% district compliance with all Operational Performance Standards (Expeditors Security Standards).
Conduct Service Provider Risk Reviews to confirm 100% compliance with the Security & Safety Notice.
All non-compliant items on the Risk Review must be communicated to the Service Provider Manager and/or applicable Department Manager at the district who is responsible for following up and resolving each issue with the Service Provider within 90 days.
Must monitor for resolution of open action items at the 90 and 180 days to determine appropriate security status.
Qualifications
College degree/technical degree.
Minimum 5 years equivalent experience.
Basic programming knowledge using SQL, Python, VBScript or JavaScript
