Long International, a project management and engineering and construction claims consulting firm, is seeking Senior Schedule Delay Analysts with proven and verifiable delay analysis experience to work on engagements concerning the analysis of contractor and owner performance on large engineering and construction projects. The position includes analysis and quantification of critical path schedule delays, concurrent delays, acceleration, and determining the contractor\xe2\x80\x99s entitlement for extensions of time and compensable delay time. Ideally, the expert\xe2\x80\x99s location will be in Dubai. Experience on building and infrastructure projects is preferred. Primary Responsibilities: Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 or more years of experience in several of the following project types: major U.S. and international building, infrastructure, transportation, oil refining, petrochemical, chemical, offshore oil & gas, pipeline, LNG, GTL, NGL, mining and mineral processing, industrial, manufacturing, pipelines, physical plants, power and energy. Work tasks will include the following: \xc2\xb7 Perform independent reviews of the technical quality (logic, constraints, etc.) of the project CPM schedules primarily using Primavera P6 software. \xc2\xb7 Review and analyze baseline schedules and statused schedules for reasonableness. \xc2\xb7 Identify and quantify critical, near-critical, and concurrent delays. \xc2\xb7 Review and analyze change order requests, daily and monthly reports, material receiving reports, correspondence, emails, meeting minutes, and other project documentation to determine root causes of and responsibility for delays. Evaluate the contractor\xe2\x80\x99s performance of its schedule management responsibilities and standard of care. \xc2\xb7 Prepare schedule delay analyses for use in negotiations with owners, contractors, and/or other parties. \xc2\xb7 Assist with writing of expert reports. Periodic international travel may also be required depending on the location of a project assignment. Requirements: \xc2\xb7 A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering or construction management from an accredited college/university, 10+ years of experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience within the engineering and construction, and/or construction consulting industry. \xc2\xb7 Registered Professional Engineer preferred, but not required. \xc2\xb7 PSP or CFCC certification is highly desirable. \xc2\xb7 Experience that demonstrates exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills on large engineering and construction projects concerning but not limited to engineering, engineering management, project management, procurement, construction management, cost estimating, planning and scheduling, project controls, and contract administration. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of and experience with schedule delay analysis methodologies, principles and recommended practices of AACE International RP 29R-03 and the Society of Construction Law\xe2\x80\x99s Delay and Disruption Protocol. \xc2\xb7 Project scheduling and project controls experience on actual projects. \xc2\xb7 Knowledgeable of integrated cost and schedule control concepts. \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other industry-related software. \xc2\xb7 Ability to independently utilize Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and preferably Acumen Fuse scheduling software. \xc2\xb7 Data analysis using Excel and Access.
