Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: Direct and supervise LPG sales activities for the assigned portfolio; including participating in setting sales strategy, business development and conducting market analysis in order to ensure that an efficient and effective sales service is provided, and that sales and profit targets are met whilst maintaining outstanding customer relationship through effective communication and collaboration to boost sales and promote ADNOC Distribution.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Job Specific Accountabilities Sales Strategy Contribution . Studies and recommends to the Department Manager LPG (Cylinders) appropriate sales strategies and market plans to ensure competitiveness and enhance Market shares and business volume within the UAE, through meetings, exhibitions, advertising and other marketing initiatives. . Lead the implementation of sales strategies with an emphasis on maximising market penetration, growth, revenue and profitability, monitoring performance against objectives and targets, maintaining positive customer relations, promoting and effectively positioning products in line with the overall business strategy. Market Analytics . Plan, direct and co-ordinates methods of gaining market insights and data from various sources,ensuring that enough information is obtained from the limited sources available. . Oversee feasibility studies carried out in order to analyse the market for new products, using information received from the agents and the team about current and future customer requirements. Sales Management . Oversee the correct allocation of customers to Sales Manager, to ensure that each customer is provided with regular advice and contact whilst working with the team to maintain personal contact with all major customers in order to provide the very best service and to deal with any problems promptly. . Conducts weekly meetings with sales managers to discuss the market and potential sales opportunities. . Plan and co-ordinate the provision of LPG cylinders supplies to meet customers' requests by regular liaison with the internal teams to ensure that the required supplies are available, on time and meeting the market /customer's requirements. . Reviewing cylinders Prices and forwarding to Department Manager, as and when required.. . Participating in site visit of customer's storage facility. Business Development . Plans to acquire new customers, maintains cordial relationships with the existing customers to increase the sales volume, and enhance market share, in line with the Balanced Scorecard. . Contacts and visits industrial customer and clients to negotiate contracts for supply of Cylinders LPG, Quantity/ price and arrangement of contracts and follow-up their queries and complaints till the finalization and signature of, any possible contracts. . Negotiates the tendering for the fuel supply to the Industries and clients which includes visiting their Headquarters for tender negotiations and to follow up their complaints on regular basis. Credit and Collection . Monitors/ verifies customers' credit status along with Sales Manager on daily basis, performs block/unblock of customers' accounts as required. . Direct and guide the review and control of the monthly approved quantity for each credit customer to ensure that sales stay within the limits of each Bank Guarantee. . Provide overall direction to collaborate with agents and distributors periodically in order to discuss customer feedback about the products used, and to resolve any related issues they may have aiming to nurture a good relationship with agents and distributors in order to gauge the performance of the Company and products. . Direct, co-ordinate and oversees the collection of outstanding debts, and intervene when necessary to assist the team in realizing collections in a timely manner. Performance Management . Reviews the performance of sales managers, updates Department Manager on department's performance, difficulties encountered with customers' financial positions. . Monitors, analyses and prepares monthly LPG Cylinders Sales Reports and forwards it to Department Manager LPG for his review. Customer Service . Ensure that the product quality meets customer specifications through using customer feedback and liaising with the Plant to meet their expectations. . Manages to the customer complaints and ensures that all such complaints are dealt within the shortest time possible and to the entire satisfaction of the customers. Provides assistance to the subordinates when dealing with such matters and handles all critical complaints. Relationship Management . Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all relevant internal departments and external entities such as consultants, local, international and government authorities etc. with highest standards of business ethics, whilst promptly attending to all critical issues in-order to ensure the services required by the organization are delivered in the most effective manner. Others . Ensure representation of the Department at seminars and exhibitions, either by attending personally or by sending a team member to ensure that attendees' questions can be answered, and any potential business opportunities followed up. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification . Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Marketing/Sales) or any relevant discipline. Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills . 10 years of experience in sales management, including at least 2-3 years in roles with growing commercial/managerial accountability. . Multi-functional operational management experience. . Deep knowledge of business workflows, operations processes and systems. . Experience of developing strategic plans for service-based industry. . Strong experience in project management and the execution of complex projects that are critical to the delivery of business strategies and goals. . Regional exposure and retail background are a plus. . Innovative and conceptual thinking
