Overview:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Safety Officer with a strong background in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles to join our organization.
• As a Senior Safety Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of safety management within the company, with a particular focus on integrating ESG practices to promote sustainable and responsible operations.

Responsibilities:

Safety Management and Compliance:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, regional, and international safety regulations and standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks effectively.

ESG Integration:

• Integrate ESG principles into safety management systems and practices to promote sustainable and socially responsible business operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed ESG considerations into safety initiatives, procurement decisions, and supplier evaluations.

Incident Prevention and Response:

• Lead incident investigation efforts to identify root causes and contributing factors of accidents, injuries, or near misses.
• Develop and implement proactive measures to prevent accidents and promote a safety-first culture within the organization.

Training and Education:

• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to enhance safety awareness and promote best practices.
• Educate the workforce on the importance of ESG principles and their impact on safety, health, and the environment.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Establish key safety performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor safety performance metrics to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive safety reports and present findings to senior management, highlighting the integration of ESG practices and their positive impact on business sustainability.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay up-to-date with relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and emerging ESG trends to ensure the organization remains compliant and ahead of industry best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as HSE teams, operations, human resources, and legal departments, to ensure safety and ESG objectives are aligned with business goals.
• Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators, customers, suppliers, and community members, to foster positive relationships and demonstrate the company\'s commitment to safety and sustainability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master\'s degree is preferred.
• Proven experience in safety management, preferably in a senior or leadership role, with a track record of successful ESG integration.
• In-depth knowledge of ESG principles, sustainability frameworks, and their practical application within an industrial or corporate setting.
• Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) and/or sustainability credentials (e.g., GRI, CDP) are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply data-driven decision-making to safety and sustainability initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to drive change, foster a safety culture, and champion ESG initiatives.
• Familiarity with ESG reporting standards and experience in preparing ESG-related disclosures and reports.
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, best practices, and international standards.
