Job Title Senior Safeguards Export

Description

Develop and implement safeguards and export control compliance activities to ensure compliance with all policies and regulations. Liaise with other functions on Safeguards & Export Control department processes, procedures, and performance activities and corporate reporting to ensure alignment and compliance with applicable corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and industry leading practices. Safeguards & Export Control Compliance Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Conduct management system audits to ensure compliance with polices and regulations.
• Develop and implement facility safeguards plans, which describe how the Safeguards program is implemented for BNPP, to ensure proper implementation of the program and meet regulatory expectations.
• Develop and implement the End User Certificates (EUC) database for regulated items received for Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) and Nawah to ensure proper handling as per procedures and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support and participate with Safeguards and Export Control teams in preparations and coordination of regulatory inspections.
• Perform self-assessments on the function to ensure compliance with FANR Reg. 9 and Reg. 10 and with Quality Assurance (QA) and management system requirements.
• Review incident reports and liaise with information security to ensure incident resolution.
• Validate the location of regulated items to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Procedure Development and Document Control Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Develop and implement department procedures; introduce changes and amendments; and communicate and coordinate change management plans accordingly to ensure clarity of adjustments and staff compliance.
• Liaise with Safeguards and Export Control to review processes and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date.

Performance Indicators Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Conduct departmental human performance reviews and analyses to identify shortcomings and propose appropriate solutions.
• Develop and implement department corrective actions, self-assessments, and observations to improve performance.
• Track safeguards and export control performance indicators and develop quarterly trend reports to assess and evaluate macro-organizational trends and recommend courses of action accordingly.

Health and Safety and Security Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Follow all relevant companys Health and Safety policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure compliance in all aspects of work as per sound management practices. Apply these policies and procedures to self and others to ensure reasonable care of the health and safety of the employee; the environment; and various individuals who may be affected by the employees acts or omissions at work.
• Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets.
• Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to Crisis Management and Business Continuity in order to continue mission critical activities.

Skills
