Under the supervision of the Solid State team leader, the Senior RF Researcher would be responsible for performing research and development activities related to high-power amplifiers.
The job includes traveling overseas, on occasion for short periods, in order to participate in conferences, visits of suppliers or partners, trainings...
Responsibilities:
- Designing, assembling, and testing high-power RF amplifiers and power combiners
- Results and project reporting
- Working collaboratively with project team members
- Interacting with scientific partners, suppliers, and manufacturers
- Collaborating in the preparation of scientific publications.
- Participating in multidisciplinary discussions within the activity domain of DERC
- Other duties related to the position
Requirements:
- Experience in designing, assembling, and testing RF high-power amplifier systems for continuous wave applications (pulsed regime is a plus)
- Experience in designing RF circuits in frequency bands up to Ka.
- Experience in RF PCB design and circuit mounting.
- Experience in laboratory measurements using instruments such as VNA, spectrum Analyzer, Arbitrary Waveform Generator and related equipment.
- Experience with simulation software related to the domain such as Keysight ADS, CST, or HFSS
- Ability to communicated effectively in English.
Qualifications:
- Master degree in RF/\xc2\xb5W Electonics, electrical engineering, or similar
- At least 2 years of working experience in an R&D department (or similar environment) directly related to the topic, or 5 years for a Master degree.
- Good level of English (speaking and writing)
