Description

We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Retail Manager who can manage and motivate a team to increase sales and ensure retail operations efficiency. Candidate should possess a previous excellent commercial, sales and retailing work experience with a major retail chain in the GCC region. Customer Focus, Vendor and Client Relationship Management, Market Knowledge, Result Orientation, Strategic Planning and Retail Management Proficiency are the key attributes that needs to be considered for the candidate selection.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Oversee the daily operations of all the retail stores and ensure smooth running of operations to maximize sales and minimize costs.
Manages stock levels and makes key decisions about stock control.
Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; with thorough following up on work results.
Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results whenever required.
Ensures availability of merchandising products and services by maintaining inventories.
Maintains awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
Analyses sales figures, forecasts future sales and interprets trends to facilitate strategic planning
Ensures standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
Improve sales figures by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans.
Assists the Marketing Team in organizing special promotions, displays and events.
Updates the Management Team on business performance, new initiatives, and other pertinent issues.
Visits all store locations regularly, coordinates with staff members and customers and identifies or resolves urgent issues.
Sustains the reputation and stability of the store by complying with legal requirements.
Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
Initiates changes to improve the business
Promotes the company by liaising with potential clients, mall management and the community in general.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Manage costs and reduce any potential damage of stock between stores and warehouses and report any such damage to the Buying team for remedial action.
Liaise with Shop Managers, Shop Assistants, Visual Merchandiser, Buyers, Warehouse Managers and Senior Management to enhance effective communication amongst them, to ensure optimum stock levels and sales support.
Manage, maintain and report as necessary all merchandise and non-merchandise stock, ensuring an annual stock take and rolling stock take (if required) and coordinates with the Finance and Internal Audit Department.
Manage the upkeep and condition of all equipment, fixtures, and fabric of shop premises.
Seek and continuously develop product knowledge.
Manage and maintain the effectiveness of IT and other essential in-store software and systems.
Attend meetings and contribute to company retail strategy and policymaking, as and when required.
Ensure all shops adhere to the company's shop opening hours, any reason for variations to be referred, and notified to the Senior Management, in good time.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience as retail manager or in other managerial position for at least 3 years with more than 30 staff members.

Knowledge of retail management best practices

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to speak Arabic language is an added advantage.

Must have a valid UAE driving license.

Excellent knowledge of retail management software (know-how of BC360 is an advantage)

BSc/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field; MSc/MA is desirable.
