We are seeking a Senior Quality / Material Engineer to join our team for a major port project in Kuwait. This key role combines expertise in quality control, material engineering, and project management to ensure the successful execution of our port construction initiative.
Oversee quality control and material engineering aspects of the port construction project
Supervise construction activities, focusing on quality assurance and adherence to project timeline
Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and technical datasheets
Verify compliance of construction materials
Conduct regular site inspections and material testing to maintain high-quality standards
Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for the project
Identify and resolve quality-related issues promptly to minimize project delays
Ensure compliance with local and international construction codes and standards
Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice on quality and material-related matters
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 12 years of experience in quality/material engineering
Expertise in material testing, quality assurance, and control methodologies
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
Strong understanding of construction codes and standards
Excellent technical report writing and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
