Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quality Control (QC) Specialist Lubricants & Grease
Location: Sharjah UAE
Department: Quality Control / Laboratory
Reports to: QC Manager / Technical Director
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise day-to-day QC operations for lubricants and grease production.
  • Perform and interpret advanced laboratory tests including ICP-OES, FTIR, TAN/TBN, Viscosity, Pour Point, Flash Point, Oxidation Stability, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASTM, ISO, and internal specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and validate test methods, equipment, and results.
  • Maintain calibration, maintenance, and validation schedules for laboratory equipment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for non-conforming products and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Supply Chain teams to support new product development and process improvements.
  • Train and mentor junior QC staff.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, quality metrics, and recommendations to management.
  • Stay updated with advancements in analytical technologies and quality control regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or masters degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 58 years of QC experience in the lubricants or grease manufacturing industry.
  • Proven expertise in ICP-OES and other modern laboratory techniques.
  • Solid knowledge of ASTM, ISO, and other applicable industry standards.
  • Hands-on experience with LIMS and other lab data systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with other spectroscopic and chromatographic methods (e.g., GC, XRF, FTIR).
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to petrochemical products.
  • Experience in quality audits and ISO 9001/14001 systems.
