This role requires deep knowledge of aluminum fabrication, installation techniques, finishing, and the interior fit-out process.
Key Responsibilities:1. Inspection & Testing:
Conduct routine inspections of aluminum components (frames, panels, cladding, etc.).
Verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish, coating, and structural integrity.
Oversee fit-out installations (partitions, ceilings, cladding, cabinetry) for quality compliance.
Use tools like micrometers, calipers, and coating thickness gauges.
2. Quality Documentation:
Maintain detailed inspection reports and records.
Develop and update quality control plans and checklists.
Review and approve Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) and Method Statements.
3. Compliance & Standards:
Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, ASTM, BS, etc.).
Check adherence to project specifications, shop drawings, and BOQs.
4. Coordination:
Liaise with project managers, design teams, and site engineers.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure material quality before site delivery.
Attend site meetings to discuss quality-related issues.
5. Non-Conformance & Corrective Action:
Identify non-conformities and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Recommend and monitor corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Architectural Engineering.
Experience:
3-7 years in aluminum fabrication, curtain walls, or fit-out QA/QC roles.
