Job Overview: Effectively conduct and facilitate assigned QHSES courses and assesses participants on defined learning outcomes / criteria.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Complete necessary Train-the-Trainer programs
  • Train and assess other QHSES Trainers
  • Ensure training facilities and equipment are well maintained
  • Prepare and conduct risk assessments when practical / hands-on demonstration and assessment are needed Deliver and assess courses with integrity
  • Complete training documentation (attendance sheet, assessment form, course evaluation form, etc.) for recording
  • Review course feedback and escalate to Supervisor / Manager when action is required
  • Validate learning applications at the worksites
  • Assist on the QHSES curriculum design and development
  • Assist on the evaluation of third-party training providers when required
  • Develop and maintain QHSES Training equipment maintenance plan
  • Assist on the monitoring of key performance metrics
  • Comply with the requirements of relevant certifications / standards (e.g. OPITO) during training and assessments

Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • Any degree, diploma or equivalent plus NEBOSH IGC or equivalent
  • At least 7 years QHSES experience in energy industry Over 3 years leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications and Education:
  • Certified Auditor
  • Certified facilitator, assessor, and internal verifier
  • Trained on instructional and evaluation techniques
  • Knowledge of training techniques and adult learning
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt / Lean Management
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented and strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
