Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QC Engineer Mechanical to lead and oversee quality control activities for a large-scale Oil & Gas project. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring all mechanical work meets the highest quality standards in compliance with applicable codes and client requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and coordinate all mechanical quality control activities across the project site.
• Review and approve quality documents, including ITPs, method statements, and inspection reports.
• Supervise and guide QC inspectors to ensure adherence to project specifications and international standards.
• Conduct inspections and tests related to welding, piping, and other mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and client-specific quality management systems.
• Liaise with the client, contractors, and third-party inspectors for quality-related matters.
• Identify non-conformities, manage corrective/preventive actions, and track quality performance.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports to project management.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Quality Control for major Oil & Gas projects.
• Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
• ASNT Level II in RT (Radiographic Testing), UT (Ultrasonic Testing), MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), and PT (Liquid Penetrant Testing).
• CSWIP 3.2, AWS-CWI, or an equivalent qualification approved by the Client.
• Strong supervisory and coordination skills with demonstrated experience managing QC teams.
• Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• In-depth knowledge of international standards and codes (ASME, API, ISO, etc.) (Preferred)
• Ability to resolve technical issues effectively under time constraints(Preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement(Preferred).
• Proficiency in quality management software/tools is a plus(Preferred).
