Job Description
1. Job Purpose
To effectively manage, coordinate, lead and execute Commercial Property marketing, sales and management strategies. Responsible for the profitable generation of growth through renewal and business production of Property for Middle East and North Africa through Brokers, Ceding Companies and Business Development Managers.
2. Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience/knowledge
Qualifications and Education: Minimum of bachelors’ degree in Engineering, business, marketing, communications or a related subject
Experience: Field territory management experience related to the insurance industry. Has experienced and managed / supervised other employees.
Training: Has completed leadership, assertiveness and negotiation skills training.
Knowledge: Has a thorough knowledge of the Property industry. Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook.

3. Job Accountabilities
Ø Directly supervises the Reinsurance for Commercial Property in the Middle East and North Africa
Ø Responsible for all underwriters under Commercial Property Department – Middle East and North Africa
Ø Maintains an in-depth understanding of a rapidly changing P&C market and initiates leading-edge recommendations for products and services that best meet and anticipate the needs of the market as well as compiles competitor information to assist the territorial analysis
Ø Initiates and leads all strategic marketing and sales initiatives
Ø Responsible for sales, marketing and product education to all underwriters, business development managers and brokers
Ø Maintains an acceptable balance between potentially conflicting sales goals and profit
Ø Develops annual individual performance standards for all Commercial Property personnel monitoring quarterly results and providing specific and timely feedback using the KPI process
Ø Conducts mid-term / annual performance review for all underwriters meeting HR department’s guidelines
Ø Responsible for the underwriters training, education and development
Ø Conducts regular visits to all brokers and ceding companies across the Middle East and North Africa
4. Communication and Working Relationships
Internal
Ø Collaborates with other peer managers within Product / Commercial Lines
Ø Develops strong interpersonal relationships with assigned countries and their employees
External
Ø Establish key external contacts within the region for the purpose of advancement of AIG products and services
