Position Overview
This role manages and oversees major multidiscipline engineering projects from initial concept through execution, commissioning, and handover. It ensures effective project planning, compliance with ADNOC standards, and delivery within approved HSE, cost, quality, and schedule targets.

Key Responsibilities
Manage technical input during early proposal and concept development. Coordinate design activities, material specifications, procurement work, and tendering processes.
Interface with external organizations and ensure that all work follows applicable codes, standards, and established practices.
Lead and supervise Project Management Consultants and ensure effective site supervision and project administration. Provide management with regular progress updates.
Develop strategies for major development projects and direct the project teams through all phases from initiation to commissioning and start up.
Manage multinational contractors and ensure all project execution follows sound project management principles, meets HSE requirements, and aligns with established objectives for cost, schedule, and quality.
Participate in committees and working groups as assigned and provide technical input and guidance.
Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary engineering teams. Exercise the level of financial authority assigned for the role.
Review data, studies, and meeting outcomes to define future project requirements. Provide technical and administrative input to take projects from early definition to formal proposal submission.
Refine project scopes, objectives, specifications, costs, and phasing in coordination with user departments and supporting divisions such as Finance and Commercial Support.
Approve work programs, terms of reference, project standards, and working procedures. Set the foundation for the execution phase.
Ensure all projects follow ADNOC procedures and recognized project management principles. Oversee prequalification of bidders, contract budgets, and cost controls. Review contract recommendations, variation orders, and ensure updated project plans are maintained.
Supervise the development of project safety programs and verify compliance with safety rules. Conduct evaluations and audits and recommend corrective actions.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Ensure safe project execution and verify that all contractors follow approved safety procedures and method statements.
Advise management on planned project completion dates to support start up planning. Contribute to start up planning and workforce requirements.
Coordinate financial matters including currency considerations, import duty exceptions, and forecasts.
Attend meetings such as Tender Board sessions and report on project financial status. Evaluate contractor performance in areas of quality, cost, schedule, and safety. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports covering engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
Manage all assigned projects within approved budgets and ensure alignment with company policies and engineering standards.
Oversee quality and control standards across all activities in assigned projects.
Lead definition, design, and execution of projects supporting field development objectives.
Maintain the technical integrity of surface facilities and overall project cost during the entire life cycle.
Deliver major development projects in accordance with established requirements for HSE, quality, cost, and schedule.
Provide recommendations on acceptance or rejection of project programs and proposals.
Ideal Profile
Bachelor degree in engineering.
Minimum twelve years of professional experience in project engineering and execution within the oil and gas industry, including at least five years leading multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
Strong knowledge of contracts, planning, and cost control.
