Responsibilities:

• Build credible sports programme and content to ensure high ratings of the program
• Ensure that assigned program production is of high editorial & technical quality
• Participate in the daily editorial meeting (along with the reporters and crew)
• Decide on the final content of news bulletin
• Review all news updates - newspapers, internet, wires, bureaus
• Lead the production of the assigned stories/reports with the assigned field reporters, locations
• Coordinate everything related to guest appearing in the assigned bulletins in terms of initial contact, interview angle discussions, logistics
• Ensure that all Lead-ins and CGs (on screen script) are up-to-date
• Ensure that the news standards are strictly being adhered to i.e. balanced, language, attractive / floating videos
• Talk to the interviewees (guests, correspondents) to understand the line of conversation
• Be up to date with latest developments around & should enhance the basic general knowledge on Sports in KSA and the international leagues
• Perform other tasks or duties as and when required

Requirements:

• Minimum 5-6 years of experience working on Sports production / formats
• Fluent in Arabic and English
• Experience in Media, TV production, Journalism and news editorial
• Technical Skills in:

• TV Planning & Scheduling Technologies & Software (BSS, Media Browse)
• TV Transmission Systems and Technologies
• iNews/Dalet
• Sport Production technologies in particular (Red Bee - Piero / VIZ - Libro), and learning how to create content to drive these technologies on screen.
• Experience in developing original and creative content
• Flexibility to travel frequently
• Good network of professional contacts within the sport community in general and KSA in particular
