Job Description

The Senior Procurement Officer (Food) is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring food products and supplies in accordance with company policies and standards. The role ensures quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of food-related goods while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and adhering to food safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

? Develop and manage procurement strategies for food items and consumables. ? Identify reliable suppliers and evaluate their product quality, pricing, and delivery terms. ? Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to ensure best value for the company. ? Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure timely delivery and inventory management. ? Monitor stock levels and raise purchase orders in line with demand forecasts. ? Ensure food items meet local health regulations, halal standards (if applicable), and quality specifications. ? Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases. ? Regularly review supplier performance and resolve any disputes or delivery issues. ? Analyze market trends and pricing to support budget planning and cost-saving initiatives. ? Collaborate with chefs, kitchen managers, and production teams to understand specific needs. ? Comply with all internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

? Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. ? Minimum 5-7 years of procurement experience, preferably in the food industry (FMCG, HORECA, etc.). ? Strong knowledge of sourcing food products (fresh, frozen, dry, etc.). ? Good understanding of local and international food suppliers and pricing trends. ? Familiar with procurement systems (ERP/SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite. ? Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. ? Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
