Responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, progress, and resources for contracting projects. Provides expert planning and scheduling support to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
Prepare baseline schedules in coordination with the project team.
Monitor critical paths, milestones, and key deliverables.
Ensure alignment of schedule with contractual requirements.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Track actual progress against planned schedules and identify variances.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and S-curves.
Highlight risks and delays with recommended recovery/mitigation plans.
Resource & Cost Loading
Develop resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules.
Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization against plan.
Support cost control team in cash flow forecasting and project budgeting.
Claims & Extension of Time (EoT)
Prepare time impact analysis (TIA) for claims and delay events.
Support contracts team in substantiating EoT and claims submissions.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with project managers, construction managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align schedules.
Participate in client/consultant meetings to present planning updates.
Ensure effective communication of schedule updates across project stakeholders.
Compliance & Best Practices
Ensure planning and scheduling practices comply with company procedures and contractual requirements.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning systems, templates, and methodologies.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
10-15 years of experience
in planning/scheduling with contracting companies (high-rise, infrastructure, or major construction projects preferred).
Proven expertise in
Primavera P6
(mandatory), MS Project, and advanced Excel.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC and contract administration.
Experience in delay analysis, claims preparation, and project control.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
PMP or PSP certification is an advantage.
