We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced

Senior Planning Engineer

to oversee the planning and scheduling of major construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in

contracting

and be proficient in using planning tools like

Primavera P6

. This role is critical to ensuring that all project milestones are met efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with technical and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6. Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and engineering to gather inputs for baseline and revised schedules. Prepare detailed construction programs, resource histograms, S-curves, and cash flow forecasts. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates and reports on schedule performance. Identify potential delays and risks; propose and implement mitigation strategies. Prepare and analyze delay impact reports (EOT claims, time impact analysis). Liaise with the client, consultants, and subcontractors to align schedules and reporting. Support tendering department with planning inputs and construction methodology. Ensure all planning documents are in compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures. Prepare and lead presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 5-10 years of planning experience in the

contracting/construction industry

. Proficient in

Primavera P6

and MS Project. Strong understanding of construction methods, sequences, and productivity norms. Experience in preparing EOT claims and delay analysis reports. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Familiarity with project management standards and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in large-scale civil, infrastructure, or MEP projects. Familiarity with FIDIC or other contract forms. PMP or PSP certification is an added advantage. Knowledge of cost control and earned value management is a plus.
