Role Summary
We're hiring a
Senior Planning Engineer
to lead project planning, scheduling, and controls across major construction projects. The ideal candidate is a P6 power-user with strong EOT/delay analysis capability, excellent stakeholder management, and a track record of delivering resource-loaded, cost-aware schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize
baseline & updated schedules
in
Primavera P6
(resource/cost-loaded, WBS/CBS aligned).
Prepare
S-curves, histograms, progress reports
, and look-ahead plans; drive weekly planning meetings with Projects/Commercial/Procurement.
Perform
critical path analysis (CPM)
, variance analysis, and scenario planning; recommend recovery/acceleration plans.
Lead
EVM
(PV/EV/AC), productivity tracking, and forecast
time & cost to complete
; interface with QS/Cost Control.
Coordinate with site teams to validate progress (% complete, installed quantities) and update logic, calendars, and constraints.
Manage
claims & delay analysis
(EOT submissions, cause-effect, time impact analysis, concurrency narratives).
Maintain
risk register
and mitigation plans; support method statements and construction sequencing.
Ensure planning deliverables meet
client/consultant
requirements (incl. ADNOC/PMC where applicable) and contract conditions.
Support tender planning: high-level programs, prelim resourcing, key milestones, and assumptions register.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's in Civil/Construction Engineering (or related).
8-12+ years
in planning/scheduling within
GCC construction/contracting
(buildings, infrastructure, or industrial/EPC).
Expert in
Primavera P6
; strong
MS Project
& Excel/Power BI skills.
Solid knowledge of
CPM, EVM, forensic delay analysis
, and
FIDIC
/contractual frameworks.
Proven experience with
EOT/claims
and client/consultant interface.
Excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus. UAE driving license preferred.
Success Metrics (KPIs)
Schedule adherence (SPI), forecast accuracy, and on-time milestone delivery.
Quality and timeliness of weekly/monthly planning reports & dashboards.
Effectiveness of mitigation/recovery plans and reduction of schedule slippage.
Accuracy of progress measurement (quantities/% complete) and EOT outcomes.
