Strategic Planning & Alignment


Assist in the development and execution of the IT strategies and digital transformation initiatives that align with Authority's objectives and operational plans. Contribute to the development of IT roadmaps, IT operational plan, and Digital government initiatives. Conduct research and benchmarking on emerging technologies and IT controls and governance practices.
IT Governance, Audit & Compliance


Assist in the development, implementation, and review of IT policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with national ICT regulations and cybersecurity frameworks. Assist in the development, review, and implementation of IT governance frameworks, IT policies and processes ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations, standards, and organizational business requirements. Support the maintenance and application of relevant national and international IT standards and frameworks, ensuring that IT plans, projects, and initiatives adhere to established regulatory and policy guidelines. Coordinate internal and external IT audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and facilitating the timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

4. DESCRIPTION


Project Planning & Management


Support the planning, prioritization, and coordination of IT projects, ensuring alignment with government programs and sector-specific mandates. Assist in the preparation of project proposals, schedules, resource plans, and performance reports Liaise with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and vendors to ensure the successful execution of projects.


Continuous Improvement and IT Performance Management


Assist in monitoring and evaluating IT performance by utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance reports to ensure that IT services are delivered efficiently, securely, and in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs) and user satisfaction requirements. Contribute to the continuous improvement of GCAA's IT systems, processes, and operational/security practices by identifying areas for enhancement, collecting relevant feedback, and recommending actionable improvements in line with Authority's and regulatory requirements.
Excellence and the Alignment with the Government requirements


Provide specialized reports to the management on maintaining government enablers KPIs results and work on planning and implementing the government requirements. Participate in benchmarking activities for the department and provide overall report to the IT Director. Participate in preparation for government and IT related awards.
Reporting


Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet GCAA requirements and quality standards.
Health, Safety and Environment within GCAA


Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude as per IMS available standards
