Position Overview
Senior Mechanical Technician roles with ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi focus on advanced mechanical maintenance of static equipment across offshore facilities, including super complex and well head towers. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced mechanical maintenance activities on offshore static equipment including vessels, tanks, columns, air coolers, accumulators, pig launcher and receivers, piping, valves, and utility packages
  • Act as performing authority and job officer, directing technicians, riggers, vendors, and subcontractors during preventive, corrective, breakdown, shutdown, and turnaround maintenance
  • Receive work requests from Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and respond to maintenance requirements across super complex and well head towers
  • Carry out installation, removal, inspection, and repair of mechanical components in accordance with approved operation and maintenance manuals
  • Supervise and participate in workforce activities, ensuring safe execution and compliance with ADNOC standards
  • Perform passive fire protection coating works on static equipment in line with international codes and standards
  • Execute piping and valve insulation, heat tracing maintenance, and flange management using approved tools and procedures
  • Support supervisors by improving crew productivity, recommending cost-effective maintenance solutions, and identifying spare parts requirements
  • Prepare inputs for Task Risk Assessments and verify conformity and fitness of tools, spares, and materials upon receipt
  • Verify contractor work completion for technical acceptability and compliance with specifications
  • Ensure proper preservation and storage of spare parts and consumables as per vendor procedures
  • Provide detailed electronic logbook handovers at shift end and during crew changes
  • Support engineering, construction, and commissioning activities onshore and offshore during project phases
  • Raise punch points and observation records for non-conformances during construction and follow up on close-out
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary maintenance teams to review procedures and recommend future improvements
Ideal Profile
  • Technical secondary education certificate in mechanical trade with two years of formal technical training or a three-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years of mechanical maintenance experience within the oil and gas industry
  • Strong hands-on experience with static equipment including heat exchangers, heaters, reactors, tanks, vessels, valves, pig traps, pipelines, filters, ejectors, and columns
  • Knowledge of mechanical design, installation, inspection, testing, and repair techniques
Skills Set
  • Experience using MAXIMO or equivalent maintenance management systems
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate offshore maintenance crews and contractors
  • Strong understanding of HSE requirements in high-risk offshore environments
  • Proficient in English communication and reporting
