ZAD Studio is seeking a highly experienced

Senior Mechanical Engineer

to lead both the

design and supervision

of mechanical systems for high-end luxury residential projects and villas. This role requires strong technical knowledge, design capability, onsite supervision expertise, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly with architects, engineers, contractors, and authorities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

10-12 years of experience

, with

8-10 years in the UAE

(mandatory) Consultancy and construction field experience required Strong experience in

mechanical design AND supervision

for luxury villas and residential projects Deep understanding of HVAC, plumbing, water supply, LPG, and fire protection systems Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, authority regulations (DM, DCD, DDA), and construction practices Proficiency in AutoCAD, HAP, and relevant mechanical design software Skilled in reviewing construction drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Excellent communication and coordination skills Ability to attend and close authority approvals and technical meetings

Responsibilities:Design:

Manage, develop, and review mechanical design from concept through construction stages Prepare complete mechanical service designs including: HVAC Plumbing Water Supply LPG Fire Fighting Determine space requirements and electrical power needs for mechanical equipment Ensure designs comply with all local authority regulations and standards Prepare and review BOQs, specifications, and tender documents Perform value engineering to align with project budgets Select HVAC systems, pumps, FAHU, AHU, FCU, ventilation, and energy recovery systems Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, and electrical teams Attend client meetings and present technical solutions

Supervision:

Oversee onsite installation and execution of mechanical works Conduct site inspections and ensure work adheres to approved drawings and specifications Review and process: Shop drawings Material submittals RFIs Method statements Monitor progress, quality, and adherence to timelines Resolve technical issues promptly to avoid delays or additional costs Support the supervision team with technical expertise Attend testing & commissioning activities and ensure compliance with approved parameters Review IFC documents and ensure full compliance with project scope Follow up and assist with obtaining authority approvals
