Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Summary:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design review, technical coordination, and site execution of all mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection. You will ensure that all mechanical works are installed correctly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review mechanical design drawings and specifications for constructability and compliance.
- Coordinate mechanical works with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of all mechanical systems.
- Prepare method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings for client approval.
- Resolve technical issues on site and provide solutions in coordination with consultants.
- Manage and inspect the work of subcontractors to ensure quality and adherence to schedules.
- Assist the Project Manager in planning and resource management.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in MEP, with a strong focus on mechanical systems.
- Must have UAE/GCC experience on major construction projects.
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is an advantage.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, Revit MEP) and AutoCAD.
